Standard motorized plenum with neck that mechanically adapts to the main ducted AC units of TOSHIBA. It includes a main board, circular dampers of 200 mm in diameter and communications gateway for a complete integration of the Airzone system. It does not require a bypass damper. It has a controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV) input allowing the use of the duct network to renew the air. Certified System by Eubac european norm. If the associated damper does not operate after switching a zone on/off, run the following checks:

Check that the LEDs associated to the relevant actuator output light up when a zone's demand is switched on/off. For further information, see the main control board technical fact sheet (  Easyzone main controller - Flexa 3.0 - Product Data Sheet  ).

If the LEDs light up properly (green = opened, red = closed), the problem could reside in the actuator's wiring or in the actuator itself. To check whether the damper operates properly, connect it to the actuator output of another damper that is operating properly. If it operates properly, the problem is probably in the actuator output. Connect another damper to it to check if it operates. If it does not, the main control board has an actuator output that does not operate. If you have any free outputs, use one of them, otherwise you will have to replace the main control board.

If the damper still does not operate after connecting it to another output, the problem resides in the damper and it should be replaced.

If the damper associated to a zone does not close despite having switched off said zone, run the following checks:

Check that it is not the last zone to close. The system has a four-minute closure delay in the last zone. Once that time has elapsed, the zone will be closed. In the case of Easyzone, the last zone's closure involves the opening of all the zones.

Check concordance between thermostats and actuator outputs. To do so, switch on and generate demand in all the system's zones, checking that all the dampers remain open. Then switch off the zone in question and check that the damper of another zone has not been closed.

If the above has not happened, check that the zone number corresponds to the actuator output.

If it still does not close, there may be a malfunction in the actuator. Consult opening of actuators ( The actuators of my dampers do not operate  ).

If the damper associated to a zone does not open when an Airzone system zone is switched on, run the following checks:

Check that the Airzone system is set to an operating mode other than Stop and that the set-point temperatures generate demand. If you have any doubts about the behavior of the operating modes see ( Airzone operating modes  ).

Check concordance between thermostats and actuator outputs. To do so, switch off all zones and switch on the zone in question to generate demand. Check that the damper of another zone has not been opened. If this is the case, you must interchange the actuator outputs in the main control board.

If the problem has not been solved, check that the zone number corresponds to the actuator output.

If the problem persists after these checks, it could be due to:
- Zone settings. Check the zone's control stages ( What are my thermostat's Control stages?  ).
- The operation of the actuator. Consult opening of actuators ( The actuators of my dampers do not operate  ).

If the damper of a zone opens when said zone is switched off, it could be the case that the polarity of the actuator's output is not correct. (Red / +) and (Black / -). Check it.

If the polarity is correct, check whether the actuator operates properly ( The actuators of my dampers do not operate  ).

Take into account that in the Airzone Easyzone system the AC unit is switched off when all the zones are switched off and that all dampers are opened in four minutes ( The dampers open when I switch off all my system's zones  ).

If the damper of a zone closes when said zone is switched on and demand is generated in it, it could be the case that the polarity of the actuator's output is not correct. (Red / +) and (Black / -). Check it.

If the dampers do not operate despite switching the system on (generating demand), check the following:

Take into account that the system has a four-minute closure delay in the last zone. Once that time has elapsed, the zone will be closed. In the case of Easyzone, the last zone's closure involves the opening of all the zones. The system is in Sleep mode and will therefore have the dampers open.

Check concordance between thermostats and actuator outputs. To do so, switch off all the zones and switch each zone on one by one, checking that the relevant dampers open.

If the problem persists after these checks, it could be due to:
- Zone settings. Check the zone's control stages ( What are my thermostat's Control stages?  ).
- The operation of the actuator. Consult opening of actuators ( The actuators of my dampers do not operate  ).

The Airzone Easyzone system opens all the dampers when all zones are switched off. This protects against excessive pressures caused by AC units' maintenance cycles.

To change the damper associated to a zone, you first have to reset that zone. To do so, access the Zone settings menu and then access the Reset thermostat parameter. Select Yes and the thermostat will be set up with its default factory settings (see the section entitled Zone Advanced Settings in the installation manual:   Easyzone main controller - Flexa 3.0 - Installation manual  ).

The grilles in each zone are always open. It is actually the dampers that open and close, which cannot be seen by the user.

Airzone motorized dampers are located in the plenum, which is coupled to the installation's indoor unit.

When a thermostat is associated to a zone, said thermostat goes on to control by default the damper having that zone number.

 Nevertheless, it is possible to control more than one damper from the same thermostat. The "Associated outputs" parameter is used to do this. This setting can be configured when the initial association is done or subsequently in the Zone advanced settings menu.
