My thermostat displays Error 8 (I have wired Lite thermostat)
My thermostat displays Error 8 (I have wired Lite thermostat)
Error 8 indicates that a thermostat has lost communications with the system. The zone loses the room temperature measurement of an associated Lite thermostat, leaving the zone disabled to generate demand. Check from your Blueface thermostat whether the Lite thermostat has lost communications.

If your installation is equipped with wireless Lite thermostats see: ( My thermostat displays Error 8 (I have wireless Lite thermostat) ).

If your installation is equipped with wired Lite thermostats, follow the instructions below:

Check that the main control boards polarity and the thermostat's connectors are correct (as shown in the image). The power feed voltage (measurement between the positive and the negative poles) should be 12 Vdc.

If the wiring is correct and the problem persists, check the voltage between the poles (A /-) and (B /-). The voltage should be between 0.5 Vdc and 2 Vdc and the two measurements should be similar (be balanced); in other words, if the voltage of A/- is 0.9 Vdc, the voltage of B/- may vary between 0.8 Vdc and 1.0 Vdc. If the voltages are not within these ranges, there is a problem in the wiring or one of the parts is defective. Get in touch with the Technical Department ( Open a new ticket ).

If the voltages are correct, check whether the thermostat in question has the microswitch that corresponds to the associated zone selected. If not, activate it by lifting up the tab to the desired value.

Remember: Should it be necessary to change the zone number, first reset the thermostat and initiate the association sequence ( How do I change the damper associated to a zone equipped with a Lite thermostat? ).
How can I reset a zone equipped with a Lite thermostat?
How can I reset a zone equipped with a Lite thermostat?
To reset a Lite thermostat (return it to its default factory settings), you only have to lower all the microswitches on the back of the thermostat.

In the case of a wired Lite thermostat, you have to reconnect the thermostat to the system after lowering the microswitches. Thus, the new settings will be applied to the system's main control board.

In the case of a wireless Lite thermostat, you have to press the ON/OFF button after lowering the microswitches. Thus, the new settings will be sent to the system's main control board.
Basic mode/Advanced mode
Basic mode/Advanced mode
This is a zone settings parameter. By default, a thermostat has an Advanced functionality which allows the user to access all the parameters available. If the Basic settings are chosen, the user will only will have access to:

- Zone ON/OFF.
- Set-point temperature.

Other parameters like the operating mode cannot be accessed from Basic mode.

For further information, see the section entitled System advanced settings in the installation manual ( Easyzone main controller - Flexa 3.0 - Installation manual ).

Power does not reach a wired thermostat
Power does not reach a wired thermostat
If your thermostat is not switched on after connecting it to the system, first check the thermostat's connection (image 1). Ensure that the wires are making good contact and are not loose. To do so, tug on them gently and ensure they are not released.

If the thermostat's connection is satisfactory, check that the bus's connection to the main control board is also correct (image 2). Check the polarity and that the wires are making good contact with the terminal connection.

If the connections are correct, check whether 12 Vdc power reaches the thermostat. To do so, check that there is 12 Vdc at both connections between the red wire (+) and the black wire (-).

If no power reaches the thermostat, check whether it leaves the main control board. To do so, disconnect the main control board's bus connection terminal (image 2) and check whether there is voltage between the + and - connection terminals. If there are 12 Vdc, the problem resides in one of the terminal connections. If there is no voltage, the main control board has a power feed fault and you will have to get in touch with the Technical Support Department ( Open a new ticket ).
The master thermostat is switched off and the system does not shut down
The master thermostat is switched off and the system does not shut down
The master thermostat controls the installation's operating mode. If you have any doubts about Airzone's operating modes, see: ( Airzone operating modes ).

Besides the system's mode, the master thermostat controls your zone's air conditioning. Demand/no demand of the zone is controlled by switching the thermostat on/off, but not of the entire system.

If wish to switch off the entire system, you can do so through: Remote zones->All the zones->Off (consult the user manual) or through the STOP mode.

My thermostat displays Error 8 (I have wireless Lite thermostat)
My thermostat displays Error 8 (I have wireless Lite thermostat)
Error 8 indicates that a thermostat has lost communications with the system. The zone loses the room temperature measurement of an associated Lite thermostat, leaving the zone disabled to generate demand. Check from your Blueface thermostat whether the Lite thermostat has lost communications.

If your installation is equipped with wired Lite thermostats see: ( My thermostat displays Error 8 (I have wired Lite thermostat) ).

If your installation is equipped with wireless Lite thermostats, follow the instructions below:

Check the battery's status and, if in doubt, replace it with a new battery ( My thermostat displays Error 8 (I have wireless Lite thermostat) ).

Check whether the Lite thermostat in question has the microswitch that corresponds to the associated zone selected. If not, activate it by pulling up the tab to the desired value. Remember that, in order to associate wireless devices, you should first open the wireless association module either through the SW1 button on the main control board or from any thermostat in the Wireless module parameter of the System advanced settings, zone parameters.

Remember: Should it be necessary to change the zone number, first reset the thermostat and initiate the association sequence ( How can I reset a zone equipped with a Lite thermostat? ).
The thermostat cannot be switched on
The thermostat cannot be switched on
If it is a wired thermostat, check the following:

1. Check that the power feed voltage is 12 Vdc.
2. Check the polarity of the thermostat's connectors.

If it is a wireless thermostat, check the following:

1. Check that the battery is correctly housed in the thermostat and with the right polarity.
2. Replace the thermostat's battery.

If the problem persists, see: ( My thermostat cannot be switched on ).
The wired Lite thermostat blinks red (it does not operate)
The wired Lite thermostat blinks red (it does not operate)
If the Lite thermostat's LED status indicator (ON/OFF) blinks red five times rapidly it is indicating that there is a communications failure between the thermostat and the main control board. This issue does not allow the zone to be controlled.

Check whether ""Error 1"" appears on the other thermostats (Blueface or Think) and whether the rest of the Lite thermostats also blink red rapidly five times. If so, the communications error is general to the system. Proceed in the same way as for the following issue ( The wired thermostat displays Error 1 - Communications failure between thermostat and main control board ).

If the error is localized to that zone, it is necessary to find out whether the problem is due to the wiring, the support or the thermostat.

First check that the Lite thermostat's zone is not repeated in another Lite thermostat; in other words, that there are two Lite thermostats with the same microswitch setting. If so, change the address and set the right one ( How do I change the damper associated to a zone equipped with a Lite thermostat? ).

If this is not the problem, remove the thermostat from the wall and interchange it with another of the installation's thermostats to discard a hardware problem. If the problem persists in the same thermostat, the problem resides in this device and it should be changed. To do so, get in touch with the Airzone Technical Department ( Open a new ticket ).

If the problem is now displayed by the new thermostat, the problem resides in the location (either the wall support or the wiring). Check the zone's wiring and the voltages once again as indicated in ( What are the correct voltages in the Airzone bus? ).
The thermostat does not measure the temperature well
The thermostat does not measure the temperature well
Check whether your thermostat meets all the location requirements recommended by Airzone:
1. There is no direct sunlight on the thermostat.
2. The thermostat is located away from draughty areas.
3. The thermostat is not placed above a heat source.
4. The thermostat is placed on the wall at the proper height.

If all these requirements are met and a temperature deviation is still detected on the thermostat, it can be adjusted from the Settings menu. Airzone system thermostats are equipped with an Offset parameter which allows the room temperature to be adjusted. Access your thermostat's Advanced settings parameters and adjust the Offset parameter to your needs.

For further information on this parameter, see the section entitled Zone Advanced Settings in the installation manual ( Easyzone main controller - Flexa 3.0 - Installation manual ).

There is a deviation in my thermostat's humidity measurement
There is a deviation in my thermostat's humidity measurement
The relative humidity measured by the thermostat is highly related to the surrounding conditions. The thermostat's location might be causing a deviation in the room temperature measurement and this in turn leads to a deviation in the humidity measurement.

Check the thermostat's room temperature measurement, using a properly calibrated thermometer to do so. If the measurement is incorrect, see the following link ( The thermostat is at a distance from the room's habitable zone and the temperature difference between both zones generates discomfort ).

If the humidity measurement continues to be wrong, check whether your thermostat is properly installed. See: ( The thermostat does not measure the humidity well ).
A Lite thermostat blinks red
A Lite thermostat blinks red
When a Lite thermostat blinks red, it means there is an error. It can be one of several errors depending on the number of times it blinks:

- 1 blink: The zone you are trying to associate already has a Lite thermostat associated to it. See A Lite thermostat blinks red when I try to associate it .
- 2 blinks: The wireless association channel is not open or the Lite thermostat is too far from the main control board. See A Lite thermostat blinks red twice when I try to associate it .
- 5 blinks: Communications error between the thermostat and the system's main control board. See The wired Lite thermostat blinks red (it does not operate) or The wireless Lite thermostat blinks red (it does not operate) .
