At Airzone, we protect your connection and your data in compliance with the RED-DA Regulation

More and more devices rely on wireless communication and internet connectivity to offer advanced features and enhance the user experience. However, this same connectivity makes it essential to ensure data security and protection against potential cyberattacks.

What does the RED-DA Regulation establish?

The Delegated Regulation of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) strengthens the protection of users and networks against unauthorized access, data breaches, and fraud. It applies to all types of equipment with wireless or internet connectivity, including phones, routers, and IoT devices.

Starting August 1, 2025, all products with wireless connectivity and direct or indirect internet access sold in the European Union must be designed and manufactured in compliance with these new requirements. Key measures include:

  • Secure default passwords that cannot be disabled
  • Protection against unauthorized access
  • Guarantees of user data confidentiality and protection
  • Prevention of fraud or system tampering

The RED-DA Regulation updates the existing Radio Equipment Directive by introducing new cybersecurity requirements for wireless devices across the European Union.

What does this mean for users?

With the entry into force of RED-DA, users must ensure that the devices they purchase comply with the new security and connectivity standards.

For Airzone Cloud, managing temperature, air quality, and energy consumption generates a large volume of data related to HVAC use. Processing millions of data points requires a robust and efficient technological infrastructure to guarantee performance and security.

We protect your digital security

All Airzone Cloud data is stored on European servers managed under the highest security standards and in full compliance with European regulations. Our specialized technical team continuously monitors and maintains this infrastructure to ensure secure, stable, and reliable operation.

Complying with the RED-DA Regulation is not just an obligation—it’s a commitment. At Airzone, we design our devices with security as a core principle. This includes:

  • Setting secure, configurable passwords
  • Protecting networks from unauthorized access
  • Ensuring data integrity and privacy
  • Preventing misuse or system tampering

All of this is part of our broader strategy to deliver smart, secure, and sustainable HVAC control solutions—promoting a more conscious, people-centered, and environmentally responsible approach to comfort.
